旧美馬市観光文化資料館の一角に設けられた工房で、伝統の和傘作りの工程である骨作りや傘張りなどをする様子が自由に見学できます。また、和紙や傘の柄などの材料や完成品も展示されています。
Mima Traditional Crafts Center− Mirai Kobo
At this workshop, established in a corner of the former Mima Tourism and Cultural Museum, visitors are free to observe the processes involved in making traditional Japanese umbrellas — making the frame and overlaying the paper. Materials used in the process, such as washi paper and umbrella handles, are also on display along with finished umbrellas.
