日本三奇橋のひとつ、国指定重要有形民俗文化財。追っ手から逃れるために、いつでも切り落とせるようにと、かずらという植物で架けたという平家伝説ゆかりの橋。長さ45m・幅2m・水面上14mのスケールがあり、3年毎に架替えが行われます。

One of Japan's three strange bridges, a nationally designated important tangible folk cultural property. A bridge related to the Heike legend that it was built with a plant called Kazura so that it could be cut off at any time in order to escape from the pursuit. There is a scale with a length of 45m, a width of 2m, and a scale of 14m above the surface of the water, and it is replaced every three years.
